The Burden of Polypharmacy and Pattern of Co-morbidities among Chronic Kidney Disease Patients in Tertiary Care Hospital

AIM To determine the prevalence of poly-pharmacy and pattern associated drug- drug interactions among CKD patients. OBJECTIVE assess various classes drugs prescribed – interactions. comorbidities METHOD A descriptive prospective study 6 months duration that was carried out to review medical case records adult patients attending GGH tertiary care hospital. CONCLUSION The polypharmacy is predominantly high burden can result in increase risk related problems such as drug-drug interactions, need minimize number medications for order reduce morbidity, mortality length hospital stay.
